Evidence required for end of tenancy charges

If you need to submit end of tenancy charges on a Reposit, you will be required to provide the documents listed below as evidence, confirming the eligibility criteria were met and providing any additional evidence related to the end of tenancy charges being submitted.

Evidence required for EVERY end of tenancy charge:

  1. Original signed Tenancy Agreement

  2. Signed addendum to the tenancy agreement

  3. Signed original inventory

  4. Check-out report

Evidence required for SPECIFIC end of tenancy charges:

  1. Rent arrears cases:

    • Rent statement covering the period from the start date of the Reposit

    • Recent evidence of written rent chasers (e.g. emails or SMS), clearly showing the date sent, the arrears balance, and the tenant’s contact details

    • If any rent increases occurred during this period, you may be required to provide supporting evidence demonstrating compliance with the Renters Rights Act 2025 (e.g. a Section 13 notice)

  2. Where re-let fees have been submitted:

    • Documents supporting any re-let fees imposed on the tenant

  3. Damages and Cleaning:

    • Quotes/invoices/receipts related to damages and the cleaning charges

  4. Guarantor information

    • Where the tenant needed a guarantor to satisfy the conditions needed to use Reposit.
