You should always encourage the tenant to settle the charges raised on your dashboard through Reposit to avoid duplicate payments.

We understand that tenants may occasionally send you additional payments toward end-of-tenancy charges after a case has been submitted on your Reposit dashboard.
โ€‹
โ€‹In such instances, it is important you inform us immediately so that we can adjust the amount charged to the tenant.

You can contact us via our live chat on our website - www.reposit.co.uk or email us at eot@reposit.co.uk

If the amount is not corrected, the tenant could face potential legal action for monies that have already been settled with the agent or landlord directly. Additionally, you cannot collect money from both the tenant and Reposit resulting in duplicate payments.

If you have already received a payment from Reposit for end of tenancy charges and the tenant also makes a payment to you for the same charges, then you will be required to refund Reposit the amount paid by the tenant.

Please inform our team if this scenario arises, and we will provide you with the necessary details to process the refund.
