Traditional Deposit Integration: How it works

A step by step guide to the Traditional Deposit Integration Process

Updated this week

How do I start?

Your letting agent or landlord will create an invite via the Reposit platform, this will be issued out to all tenants via email.

The email will be titled Important information regarding your prospective tenancy and will confirm that "It's time to confirm your deposit preference!"

From this email you will be presented with 2 options - Reposit or Traditional Deposit.

For example:

By clicking "Choose Now" you will be transferred to a further page where you can select your deposit option.

If you select Reposit, your Reposit will be created and a further email will be sent to complete your Reposit registration and payment.

Please see out guide How to complete my Reposit for further information on next steps.

How do I pay my Traditional Deposit?

After choosing Traditional Deposit as your preferred deposit option, you will receive a further email. Subject: Payment instructions for your cash deposit.

This email will be issued from Reposit but will now connect you with mydeposits. Click "View payment details" in the email received to proceed:

You will then be asked to enter the Postcode for your upcoming tenancy:

and be transferred to confirm your tenancy details:

Note: Should any of these details be incorrect please speak to your letting agent or landlord before clicking "Confirm Tenancy Details"

After clicking "Confirm Tenancy Details" you will be required to consent to the Terms of Business:

The platform will then transfer you to the payment page for your Traditional Deposit payment. Follow the instructions to pay:

When choosing the Pay by Bank option, you will be transferred to your bank's online banking app to complete the payment.

Note: If there are multiple tenants, it is up to you to decide how to pay. Joint tenants wishing to pay a share of the deposit each will need to use the Manual Transfer option but we would recommend transferring the money between yourselves for payment in one go if possible.

Once paid, mydeposits will contact you directly and Reposit will not send anything further.
