As a third-party service, Reposit is a permitted fee when it is a free choice of the tenant. Agents/Landlords cannot require tenants to use a deposit alternative product unless they fully agree and have been given a choice.

Tenants should always be offered the choice of Reposit or a cash deposit. Reposit should never be offered as the only option, as in some cases, a cash deposit may be the preferred option for the tenant.
